New Features & Enhancements

🔗 LMS Integration

LTI 1.3 Launch Support

Candidates can now launch Webassessor assessments directly from a learning management system using the LTI 1.3 standard.

  • Candidates enrolled in an LMS course (Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard, and other LTI 1.3 platforms) can open a Webassessor assessment from within the LMS without seeing a separate login screen

  • Each launch is verified through a signed, single-use, time-limited security handshake before the candidate is authenticated

  • Administrators can configure an LTI platform for a client region, including issuer, client ID, authentication endpoints, and provisioning behavior, alongside existing SSO types

  • Just-in-Time provisioning is supported so candidates arriving via a recognized LMS can be created or matched automatically

Action Required: LTI configuration requires administrator setup per client region. Contact your CSM for guidance.

🔐 Authentication & SSO

Multiple SSO Configurations per Region

Administrators can now add, configure, validate, and manage more than one SSO configuration for a single client region.

  • Multiple identity providers can be configured per region, each saved and validated independently

  • SSO configurations are now presented in a tabbed layout on the Client Region view and edit screens for clearer management

  • Existing single-configuration behavior is fully preserved

JIT Provisioning: Standard Claim Fallback

Just-in-Time provisioning now falls back to standard OIDC claim names when a specific mapping has not been configured.

  • When a mapping is missing but the identity provider sends the value using a standard field name (for example, given name, family name, or email), provisioning continues successfully

  • This reduces configuration effort and prevents provisioning failures caused by incomplete mappings

💬 SMS Reminders

Candidate SMS Opt-In and Exam Reminders

Candidates can now receive SMS notifications and reminders across the exam lifecycle.

  • Candidates can opt in to SMS reminders from their profile page and provide a mobile number, without needing to opt in during registration

  • Registration and exam lifecycle notifications are delivered by SMS to opted-in candidates

  • Exam reminders are sent ahead of scheduled exams at configurable lead times

  • Candidates can opt out at any time by replying with a stop keyword

Admin SMS Management

Administrators gain tools to manage and monitor SMS activity.

  • Send individual and bulk SMS messages and view message logs

  • Manage candidate opt-out status and view a statistics dashboard

  • SMS-related fields are surfaced on the Candidate and Region pages

CSM-Enabled: SMS Reminders are controlled by configuration and activated regionally. Your CSM will coordinate timing.

🖥️ Test Delivery & Proctoring

Redesigned Suspension and Exit Experience

The suspension workflow has been reworked to capture clearer outcomes and improve downstream reporting.

  • Greeters and proctoring staff select a required suspension reason when ending a candidate's session, so the outcome is clearly documented

  • Candidates can optionally select a reason (for example, technical issue, time conflict, or personal emergency) when exiting an exam, reducing friction while capturing useful context

  • New suspension type labels appear wherever session status is displayed, including the Registrations tab and Exam details page, so administrators can understand what happened and determine next steps

  • Candidates affected by proxy detection now see a neutral, non-accusatory message with guidance on how to proceed

Content-Copy Protection for Unproctored Exams

Copy-and-paste of exam content is now blocked for unproctored exams delivered without the lockdown browser, closing a gap where question content could be copied out of the exam.

The Online Proctoring Terms of Service now capture separate consent for each paragraph of the data processing agreement rather than a single combined checkbox, supporting more granular consent capture.

Session Transcript: Initial Assignment Logging

The event session transcript now records when an online-proctored session is first assigned or escalated, giving proctoring staff clearer visibility into who first handled a session.

🧪 Candidate & Admin Experience

Secondary Email in the Admin View

Following the introduction of candidate secondary email for account recovery, administrators can now view and edit a candidate's secondary email from the Candidates > Accounts page, consistent with how the primary email is managed.

🧠 AI & Item Writing

Multiple Item Generation (Admin Preview)

A new multiple-item generation experience is available for AI Item Writing, presenting an item-tabbed layout alongside the existing generation options so administrators can work with more than one generated item at a time.

CSM-Enabled: Multiple item generation is gated by a feature flag and is not active by default. Contact your CSM to discuss enablement.

Source Document Upload Now Functional

The AI Sources document management screen introduced in a prior release is now fully functional.

  • Administrators can add source PDFs via drag-and-drop or a file picker, with large files uploaded reliably in the background

  • Uploaded files are listed per client region with filename, size, and status

Note: AI-assisted item generation from uploaded documents will be enabled in a follow-on release.

⚙️ Certification Management

Self-Service Custom Pricing (Admin Preview)

Custom pricing rules can now be configured within Certification Management rather than through manual production database updates, improving visibility, auditability, and control.

Catalog Sourcing

When a client region is configured as the system of record, the candidate catalog is sourced from Certification Management, ensuring candidates see certification types, exams, and status information from the managing system.

CSM-Enabled: Certification Management capabilities are gated by a feature flag and are not active by default. Contact your CSM to discuss enablement.
